When I wanted to write a blog post, I realized I was spending more time opening a CMS, formatting content, and clicking through dashboards than actually writing.
As a developer, that never felt right.
I already write documentation, notes, and ideas in markdown. Why should publishing be any different? That's why I built Blogizi.
Why Blogizi?
Blogizi is a markdown-first blogging platform designed around a simple idea:
Write wherever you want. Publish in seconds.
Whether you write in Obsidian, VS Code, Cursor, or any other markdown editor, your workflow shouldn't change just because you're publishing a blog.
Instead of forcing you into another editor or dashboard, Blogizi lets markdown remain the source of truth.
My workflow
This is the workflow I use almost every day.
- Create or generate a markdown post.
- Edit and polish it in Obsidian.
- Run:
blogizi publish
That's it.
No browser. No copy-pasting. No formatting headaches.
Your markdown becomes a published blog post.
AI fits naturally into the workflow
One thing I love is that Blogizi doesn't lock you into any AI provider.
Want to use Claude? Use Claude.
Prefer Codex? Use Codex.
Use ChatGPT? That's fine too.
Any tool that can generate a markdown file works perfectly with Blogizi because markdown is the only thing that matters.
The AI helps you write.
Blogizi helps you publish.
Built for developers, simple enough for everyone
Although Blogizi started because I wanted a better developer workflow, you don't need to be a programmer to use it.
If you enjoy writing in markdown, you'll feel right at home.
If you're a developer, it fits naturally into the tools you're already using.
What's next?
This is only the beginning. I'm already exploring ideas like:
- An Obsidian integration
- Better publishing workflows
- Newsletter integrations
- More ways to make publishing feel effortless
The goal isn't to build another CMS. The goal is to make publishing feel as simple as saving a markdown file.
Give Blogizi a try
If you're someone who enjoys writing in markdown and wants a faster way to publish, I'd love for you to give Blogizi a try.
This is the first public release, and your feedback will help shape where it goes next.
Happy writing. 🚀
